Monday Mornings....

Good morning all! I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend! Now it's Monday, and back to another week of work! My Monday started off particularly early. I woke up at about 4 a.m. and couldn't go back to sleep. I laid silently, lifelessly next to my husband hoping I would fall back to sleep, or at least not wake him. I gave up at about 5:30 when I decided to go ahead and start my day. I got up, did a few dishes, started the laundry, packed the hubbs lunch, and started my daily blog reading. At 6, I woke him up. He grumbled, asking for 10 more minutes, I obliged. After he was up and about but still sleepy eyed, sitting on the couch putting his socks on I sat on his lap, hugged his neck and reminded him to smile. "The Lord has blessed us with another day to live in his glory, and sing his praise!," I told him. He laughed and asked if I had been up watching chanel 4 or something of the sort late last night. It's ashame he's not able to wake up and enjoy his mornings! After I got him off to work I went straight to the flower bed to weed and stake up the gladiolas. Working in the garden is so refreshing in the mornings when the grass is still wet with dew and the sound of cars doesnt yet drown out melodys sang by the birds in the morning sun. After the garden work was done, I decided it would be a wonderful time to take a few pictures. My neighbors think I'm crazy. It must appear odd to them to see their 24 year old neighbor sitting on the front porch, or carrying furniture out in the yard and snapping pictures at 7 in the morning. I'm really starting to love my little front porch sitting area. I enjoyed my breakfast and a little reading out there after the picture taking was done. I just may start every day out like this! Now it's time for a shower then off to town for the rush, rush, rush of errand running and junking! How do you start off your day, or week?! Hope it's a good one!

And I agree with you about the mornings, if only I could wake up for them!
